Every application for a trademark has to have an owner. You probably knew that. Pretty basic information. And usually it's pretty straightforward. In most instances, your client/the Applicant is an individual, a limited liability company, or a corporation. It's all smooth sailing until there are ownership changes, mistakes in the ownership information as entered (perhaps by a pro se applicant or a previous attorney), or when it's time to renew the mark.

Trademark ownership issues can come up at any time during the process - from filing an application, to renewing a registration. We will cover the most common challenges regarding ownership, and the different ways to update ownership when it changes. We'll make sure you know exactly how to handle various scenarios so you don't make a costly error.

All Aboard the Owner-Ship will take place on Monday, Dec. 11, 2023 at 4pm EST/1pm PST and will be co-taught by Sonia and Erik.

Below is a general list of what will be covered, but please feel free to bring your questions for the live Q&A afterward as well. The estimated time for the class is 75 minutes.
